Cowboy Church Round-Up Weekly Newsletter

Howdy Pardners,

Our New Thursday Worship Service Started off with a great crowd last night, June 10th at 7 pm, at the Cowboy Church! We had excellent music from our Cowboy Band and I started a New Sermon Series on the Book of Acts. Ron Brookshire shared a neat devotional message right after MaryAnn warmly welcomed everyone and gave our announcements. Marcie Johnson had a fun group of kids for Cowtown, and we topped the evening off with one of our awesome Potluck Dinners! Thanks to everyone that attended this historic night for our church! Please help us build this into something special, by making every effort to attend this New Mid-Week Thursday Service, now every Thursday at 7 pm. “My Message next Thursday will be, “The Church Begins with Wind, Fire, and a Great Revival!” from Acts Chapter 2 and 3!

We also plan to continue to make our Sunday Service more honoring to the Lord and to add a few Surprises to it, as well, as the Holy Spirit leads. Join us Sundays for our 11 am worship! Our Sunday Bible Stampede for all ages starts at 10 am.

BREAKING NEWS! Yes, we have now raised $100,000 toward our goal! We are just about $11,000 away from our goal of the total needed of $111,000 needed for our New Horse Arena Roof at the Cowboy Church! Some of our church family really stepped up these past few weeks to help us get so close! WE NEED ALL OF OUR CHURCH FAMILY MEMBERS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS EFFORT! Let’s see if we can finish this campaign off in the next two weeks. MaryAnn and I plan to dig deep and give to help get us there. We have given before, but know we can do more. How about you??? Could you give another $500, $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, or more? Saddle-Up, Cowboy Church Family! Let’s get this done, so that when the arena roof is completed, hopefully within a month from now, we will know that it is also completely paid for! The money has been given by our own Church Family, and by many of our friends and family that believe in us, and believe in the work the Lord Jesus is doing through our unique Cowboy Church Ministry.

You can also help the Church raise these final needed funds for the Arena Roof by sending one of the brochures the Arena Roof Committee has made, along with a cover letter from me, out to your friends that might want to help us. On the cover letter, write a personal note from you to your friends about what we are doing, and a personal, “Thank You” for any help they might be able to give. (A number of our church members and we have already received back several nice donations from the letters we sent out!)

We will have a VBS Volunteer’s Planning Meeting – Thursday, June 17th at 6 pm, the hour before our Thursday Worship Service that evening. Anyone that can help at our One Day Vacation Bible School on August 5th is invited to come to this meeting. Marcie Johnson, VBS Director, has designed VBS T-shirts again this year. T-shirt orders for adults and children will be taken now until July 1st. The cost of shirts will be $11 for Adult SM – XL; $14 for Adult XXL – XXXL. Cost of Children’s shirts to be announced.

October – The Buckaroo Fall Festival – (We plan to have our own Barrel Train for the kids made by that time! (Ray Spencer and Ron Brookshire are planning and working on that!)

(We will also be planning a Horse Fun Show, and a Horse Clinic for Kids this summer, once our Arena Roof is completed this spring, not to mention horse riding in the arena before and after church services.)

#A SPECIAL THANKS! We want to thank all of you who have been sending your tithes and offerings in to the Cowboy Church by snail mail or giving as you attend the services.

For those who wish to, (and we pray you do if you are not yet joining us in the building!) you may mail your offerings or arena roof donations to:
